THE OREGON WALLOWA RIVER STEELHEAD TRAIN 2010 SCHEDULE IS OUT!

The schedule for the 2010 Wallow River Steelhead Train has been released and anglers are encouraged to make their reservations early! The Steelhead Train departs from the Miam Motel weekends from February 13, 2010 through March 28, 2010. Reservations are on a first come first served basis, so don't miss out this year on this unique steelhead fishing opportunity. You can make reservations directly through the Minam Motel website. HERE IS THE ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE WITH SOME MORE GENERAL INFO ON THE STEELHEAD TRAIN:
Board the train at Minam, adjacent to the Minam Motel, mid-way between the towns of Elgin and Wallowa on Oregon Highway 82 (33 miles northeast of La Grande). Enjoy a leisurely early morning ride in a 1950s vintage train, complete with comfortable seats and facilities. Refreshments and beverages are available on the train. Choose your fishing hole and depart the train at any point along the stretch of river and fish a half or whole day. The number of anglers on each trip is limited to ensure a high quality experience. Maps and on-board experts give advice on where to fish.
The Minam Motel is a registered ODF&W licensing agent and offers fishing gear and maps, as well as convenient lodging.
